What's in my bag

Like a lot of people, 'What's in my bag/purse' blog posts and YouTube videos are amongst my favourites... seriously, what is it that is so fascinating about them?

Anyhoo, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and show you all what I lug around with me all day.

The bag I'm using at the moment is a Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Groovee in black and I love it even though it's a ton weight even when there's nothing in it. I got it for my birthday about eighteen months ago and it looks the same now as the day I got it, even though it gets a good bit of bashing.

Inside I have
  1. My purse - this is really old & from Oasis.
  2. My diary & phone. The phone is an iPhone 4 and I LOVE it - I honestly don't know how I did with out it. The Hello Kitty cover is from one of those cheap Chinese phone places.
  3. Assortment of pens! My favourites are from Muji - the ones with the really thin nib.
  4. Penney's make-up bag - separate pic of contents below.
  5. River Island sunglasses that are just rattling around in my bag getting scratched to bits. Must find their case!
  6. Small see-though folder that I use to hold things like coupons, vouchers and parking discs & a Cath Kidston card holder that holds loyalty cards and other assorted cards that won't all fit in my purse.
  7. H&M little pouch thing in which I keep my drugs! (By drugs, I mean Neurofen, Imigran, anti-histamines, that kinda thing ;-))
  8. Perfume atomiser from The Perfume Shop. This is similar to the Travalo, cost me €9 and I love it. So handy. It has Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess (favourite summer fragrance for eva!) in it at the moment.
  9. Atrixo hand cream - got this free with something - it's grand, handy size for the bag.
  10. Tissues, of course.
  11. Assorted keys
  12. Biofreeze - I'm a bit addicted to this stuff. I fell flat on the ice last year and whacked my head off the ground, yes, kinda like the guy off the RTE news - scarleh. Ever since, I've had shoulder and neck pain that flares up every so often. Biofreeze is great for easing it without having to resort to painkillers or anti-inflammatories. It's also great to rub a bit on if you're a bit hot and you want to cool down, but eh, you're probably not supposed to use it for that.
  13. Hand Sanitiser - also a bit addicted to this, ever since the whole swine flu thing.
  14. Butter London nail polish in 'HRH'. Was wearing this this week, quite appropriate with the Queen's visit and all ;-)
  15. Cherry Carmex
  16. Red iPod Nano
I don't carry around much make-up with me because invariably, unless I'm going somewhere after work, I never bother touching up during the day. Having said that, I'd feel a bit nervous having no make-up whatsoever with me so always bring at least concealer, mascara and a lip product of some sort. This is what I was carrying last Wednesday but the contents probably change daily. From L-R we have:
  • Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera (I think, the label has worn off)
  • Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy' - this is lovely.
  • a well loved MAC eyeliner in 'Teddy'
  • Revlon Just Bitten lipstain in 'Passion' (just bought this this week - not loving it so far)
  • Liz McEvoy Correct and Brighten pen - for my under eye black bags.
  • Maybelline Pulse Perfection mascara (Mags got me this off Ebay aaaages ago when it was launched in America but I've only been using it recently & OMG I love it. And guess what? Maybelline have discontinued it! WAH! Have ordered some more off Ebay to keep me going until my next holy grail mascara comes along.)
  • MAC Studio Finish concealer - for my seemingly never ending cycle of spots....grrr
And that's the lot! Hope you enjoyed. If you've done a 'What's in my Bag' post/video yourself, hook me up with some links please :-) Pin It
