June Favourites

This is the first time I've done a monthly favourites (it's usually Mags who does them) and true to form I'm just a tad late, but better late than never eh?! Here are the things I was loving last month.

1. Roger and Gallet Fresh Fragrant Waters*. I have these in Fleur de Figuier and Bois d'Orange and am never without one in my bag - at 30 ml they're perfect for handbags and for travel. They're so light and refreshing, I'm addicted to spritzing these to freshen up during the day. Especially great in this hot, sticky weather.

2. Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover.* Hands down the best eye make up remover I have ever tried. A couple of sweeps of this dual phase baby gets rid of the heaviest eye make up, even Benefit's They're Real mascara (and that's sayin' somethin'). No rubbing or scrubbing required. I've nearly used this all up but will definitely repurchase. Worth the €€.

3. Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning. I've had this for a couple of years now (this is the old packaging) and it makes a reappearance each summer. It's a really lovely fake tan for your face that delivers a very natural yet noticeable colour. If you're wary of using fake tan on your face, give this a whirl.

4. Jemma Kidd Make Up School Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Crème in 01 'iced gold'. I bought this after hearing Julie raving about it several times. She was not wrong - this is a really gorgeous cream highlighter that melts into the skin giving it a natural looking glow rather than the robo-metallic look that some highlighters unfortunately impart. Sadly Jemma Kidd products are no more but there are still some available online and I have seen this particular product on eBay. You sometimes see Jemma Kidd stuff in TK Maxx too - if you see this definitely snap it up.

5. Stila Smudge Stick Eyeliner in Turquoise. Absolutely loving this for a 'pop of colour' on the eyes. Cringing at that phrase but no other way to put it - this shade is amazing. See it action on Mags here

6. Smashbox Waterproof Shadow Liner in Metallic Marble.* Another product that is brilliant for simple summer eye make up, this product is so versatile. It can be used for a full on smokey eye or a simple line and it's a beautiful, very wearable, shade of bronze-y brown. Karen shows it off to perfection here. This is an ever-present in my make up bag.

7. Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener. My friend brought this back to me as a pressie from her honeymoon recently and I love love love it. I use it under my eyes over a more heavy duty concealer and it does an excellent job of brightening the area. Also brilliant for touch ups during the day to keep me looking awake.

8. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes in Palm Treat and Vitamin Sea.* We love Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure range of polishes - the formula is among the best we have tried in terms of ease of application, shine and longevity and these polishes from their summer 'Exotica' collection are no exception. Palm Treat is the green and Vitamin Sea is the gorgeous aqua blue.

9. Estée Lauder Illuminating Powder Gelée Blush in Tease. Andreea is responsible for creating a bit of a frenzy around this product back in May when she Instagrammed and Tweeted about it. It was from the Spring collection so was already scarce - cue a frantic search of the interwebs and Dublin's Estée Lauder counters before Mags and myself both tracked it down. And thank the make up gods that we did, because this is possibly the most beautiful blush I ever did see, in the pan as well as on the skin. It was almost a shame to use it, almost
