Often a perfumes scent seduces you, it's
kinda the idea of a scent that you smell it and fall in love. Sometimes
it's their beautiful packaging (hello Marc Jacobs) but it's not very often
that you're literally waiting years for a specific scent to be released
and for me that's how I felt when I first encountered Nuxe Prodigieux Le Parfum*. For many years I have been obsessed with the scent of Nars
Body Glow Oil. I have been wishing and searching for a fragrance which
captures the scent - in fact I have bought or smelt anything which says
it contains coconut extract and/or tiare flower and nothing has come close.
Of course fans of Nuxe Prodigieux oil will be familiar with the divine scent - I am fairly new to Nuxe but anything I have from the brand has really impressed me. I hadn't tried Huile Prodigieux so my socks were blown off when I first smelt the perfume... it was exactly what I had spent YEARS looking for.
So I could tell you all about who developed the fragrance but lets get to the important bit - what does it smell like..
Head: Bergamot, Mandarin and Orange Blossom
Heart: Roses, Gardenias and Magnolias
Base: Vanilla and Coconut Milk
So it starts off fruity, develops into a slightly flowery feminine scent and ends up warm and tropical.
This is going to be my summer scent - knocking Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess off the top spot which is a huge deal because I have been wearing that every summer more or less since it came out originally in 2006.
Nuxe Prodigieux 50ml costs €48.60 and is available from Arnotts
and pharmacies nationwide as well as Cloud 10 Beauty. To Celebrate the
launch Cloud 10 Beauty are, for a limited time, offering a free 30ml bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil with every purchase of the perfume (man I love Cloud 10 Beauty).
