Recently I was in the market for a new shampoo and man it's a minefield. There are so many on the market and I just happened to be in Boots when there seemed to be a shampoo special offer on. Usually when I NEED a shampoo and there is a special offer on I'll buy one of those big bottles of L'Oreal (you know the ones we all buy when they are on special offer?) from a range that suits my current hair needs. For some reason this time I found myself in front of LOreal's Ever Pure range.
I picked up Ever Pure Colour Care Shampoo (€7.99). The main reason I went for this range is not because I have an overwhelming urge to go sulphate free (which these are) but because they are infused with rosemary and juniper botanical oils - this is just lovely when you are washing your hair, it gives you a great kick start in the morning, gentler than mint but still invigorating. Just open the bottle next time you're in Boots and take a sniff - lovely stuff altogether. Despite being sulphate free you also get a good lather on your hair and even when I have had very greasy hair I only need to wash with this once and it does the job.
Boots had a 2 for €12 on the range so instead of picking up a conditioner I went for the Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask (€8.99) with camelina and apricot seed botanical oils - mmmmm it smells like summer holidays. I like to mix ranges (crazy cat that I am) - as you can see I went for a nourishing conditioner because sometimes your hair might be coloured but it's also dry and I never really use a matching Shampoo and Conditioner. I like to use the Ever Riche Mask as a one minute treatment conditioner, again the smell is amazing without being overpowering. I am really impressed by this duo. The shampoo leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh and the conditioner feels luxurious.
