Rimmel Keep Calm Lip Balm

Swatches, from l-r Violet Blush, Rose Blush, Clear, Pink Blush and Berry Blush.
There's a new drugstore pretender to the Maybelline Baby Lips Crown, in the form of Rimmel's Keep Calm Lip Balm. The name and packaging obviously borrows from the now omnipresent World War II Keep Calm and Carry On poster, but I like it and it goes well with Rimmel's London theme.

These are very sheer, in fact, the three lightest colours just look like clear balm on my lips. Even the two darkest shades, Violet Blush and Berry Blush, which look a little scary in the bullet, leave just a light but pretty stain. These are right up my street - my lip products of choice would be tinted balms and sheer, moisturising lipsticks. Keep Calm Lip Balms feel really nice and moisturising on the lips, more so than Baby Lips, and they smell like sweets which is always good too.

These tinted lip balms are available in five shades, and will retail at €2.99 each (the sterling price is also £2.99 so kudos to Rimmel for not ripping us off). They're due to hit stands this month, so keep an eye out!
